I am a certified Usui Holy Fire Reiki Level II practitioner training to become a Reiki Master. I bring reiki into some of my editorial sessions to help elevate an author’s work and expand their imagination.

I was inspired to do this because of one very specific aspect of Reiki, which I believe can be used to serve novelists particularly well. The upper drawing in the Japanese character for the word Reiki depicts luminous clouds, which represent higher levels of consciousness. According to Reiki philosophy, among the many spiritual jewels hidden there lies “creative genius.”

As an editor, I tap into this element of Reiki to help authors execute on their vision and bring something new into the world with the publication of their book.
